5 Tips to Relieve Headaches

Headaches can be due to a variety of reasons, to name just a few:

  • Seasonal changes, barometric pressure, humidity, temperature variations

  • Hormonal shifts within our bodies

  • Environmental and food allergies

  • Latent infection(s) in our ear, tooth, jaw, eye and other areas

  • Muscular-skeletal tension and imbalance

  • Poor hydration and eating habits

  • Lack of rest and valuable sleep

  • Stress, overthinking and generalized anxiety

It is important to know and understand what the "triggers" are so symptoms may be alleviated and lessoned.


  • Acupuncture points - Large Intestine 4 and Liver 3 are two very common points to reduce headaches, neck/shoulder issues (see video above)

  • Adequate hydration, good nutrition with regular mealtimes

  • Taking time to unwind, relax and breathe

  • Prioritizing rest and maintaining a nourishing sleep routine

  • Stretching and moving our bodies, relaxing muscles, and alleviating tension

  • Controlling our thoughts with positive thinking, gratitude and learning to let go of matters that we have no control over

  • Ensuring that we address any areas where infection can reside ie. teeth

  • Treating ourselves with honour and love when hormonal shifts may occur

  • Being aware of the weather and environmental changes that can be supported with warmth, a dehumidifier, a fan/air conditioner, to counteract the negative effect that may impose upon your wellbeing

Headaches are a symptom of imbalance and a lack of harmony within our homeostatic systems.

Take the time to listen to your body and hear what it is saying ... as there may be a very simple solution to becoming headache free :)
